I received this as a weekly win from one of my clients this week and this honestly filled me excitement:
“It’s been so out. I used to just sit when it got hot. With my new outlook and lifestyle I am outside with my kids playing”
Working on your physique, health and fitness is life changing and perhaps the best decision you’ll ever make is to start investing into yourself.
A lot of people think working on your physique is all for vanity reasons, and yeah if you’re trying to get super shredded to the point where you see lines in your glutes this is true. But for the large amount of us and even us physique athletes most of the year we are just trying to live a healthy life and work on our bodies which can give us so much and rub off on those around us.
Here are some of the other reasons, outside the vanity and physical health benefits to start building your physique:
- Improved confidence and self belief: When you consistently show up you start to put faith in your own ability, put trust in yourself and your self belief skyrockets. With this you might find a new level of self confidence, this might give you the courage to speak to that person you fancy, you feel more confident in social situations and take pride in your appearance which might elevate your performance at work and socially.
- Improved mental well-being; I’m not saying working on your physique is a cure for mental health issues because that is definitely not the case. But exercising regularly and working on yourself has shown to help with managing symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression and improve your health esteem. I strongly believe that working on your physique and fitness go hand-in-hand with working on your mental health.
- You become a role model for your social group and family: With more confidence and new outlook to life, your kids, family and peers will want to follow in your footsteps as they witness first hand how much of a positive effect this can have. I have had many clients work with me and a couple of months later their partners want to join too.
- Your own personal growth: Building a physique requires discipline, commitment and patience, so it’s no surprise that this will have carry over into other areas of your life. You may find you apply your new principles to work to get a promotion or perhaps you apply these values to build strong lasting relationships.
- Being part of the larger community: In the fitness space there are many inspiring people who share a lot of the values already mentioned. I as well as many other clients have felt a part of a community which uplifts people to reaching new height.
These are some of the reasons your life can change if you decide to make the change.
As a coach it’s my job to make that change as easy as possible. So if this is your wake up call let jump on a call today.
